Estimate Your Bail Bond Cost

This is a free estimate only. A judge sets the real bail amount. Call us for a free, private quote for your exact situation.

Florida law sets the bail bond fee at 10% for every charge type. This list is just so we know what you are calling about, it does not change your price.

Florida sets a $100 minimum fee, so any bail amount under $1,000 will still show $100 below. At that minimum, the fee is due in full, with no payment plan.

The 10% fee is paid to us, not the court, and it is not refunded once the bond is posted. The 50% down payment above is just one example of a payment plan. Your actual plan may be different. Call us and we will give you an exact price and payment options.

How the Math Works

Florida law caps the bail bond premium at 10% of the bail amount a judge sets. That percentage is the same no matter which licensed agency you call, and no matter what the charge is. What is not the same from agency to agency is how you pay it, and that is where we can help.

The Bail Amount

Set by a judge. This is the full amount the court requires to release someone before trial.

The Bond Fee (10%)

Paid to us for posting the bond on your behalf. This part is not refunded.

Your Payment Plan

How you pay your part of the 10% fee. We work with you to build a plan you can manage.

What Affects the Bail Amount

The judge decides the bail amount, not us, and every case is different. A few things a judge usually thinks about are:

  • How serious the charge is
  • Whether the person has a criminal record
  • Whether the person is seen as a flight risk
  • Ties to the community, such as a job or family nearby
  • Whether the person has missed court dates before

Because every case is different, this calculator gives an estimate only. Call us for a real number for your situation.

Bail Cost Questions

Why is the bail bond fee always 10%?

Florida law sets the maximum bail bond premium at 10% of the court's bail amount. Every licensed agency in the state follows this same rule, so the fee itself does not change from one bondsman to another.

Is the 10% bail bond fee refundable?

No. The 10% fee is payment for our service of posting the bond, and it is kept whether the case ends well or not. This is different from the full bail amount, which is refunded by the court if it is paid directly in cash and every court date is kept.

Can I get a lower rate than 10%?

The 10% rate is set by Florida law, so it does not change. What can change is how you pay it. We offer payment plans so you do not have to pay the full 10% up front.

What if I cannot afford the down payment?

Call us anyway. We work with families to build a payment plan that fits their budget. Do not assume you cannot afford bail before you have talked to us.

Does the bail amount ever change after it is set?

Yes, sometimes. A judge can raise or lower bail later in a case, for example at a bond hearing. If that happens, call us and we will explain how it affects your bond.
