What Happens at the Processing Center
Every single arrest in Polk County comes through the Sheriff's Processing Center first, no matter which city it happened in. This is where a person is booked and fingerprinted. The facility books in and out an average of 50,000 people a year, so it moves fast, day and night.
If someone was arrested in the last few hours, this is almost always where they are right now. Booking can take anywhere from one to several hours, depending on how busy the facility is.

Picking Up Your Loved One
If this is your first time dealing with a bail bond company, or if you are feeling scared, anxious, or just not yourself right now, that is completely normal. Most people we talk to have never done this before. Here is what actually happens once bail is posted, so you know what to expect.
If bail is posted quickly after booking, some people are released directly from the Processing Center. In other cases, the person is moved to Central County Jail or South County Jail first, and release happens from the Sheriff's Release Center in Bartow instead. We will tell you exactly where to go once the bond is posted, so you are not left guessing.
One thing that surprises a lot of families: Florida law does not allow a bail bondsman to conduct bail bond business on jail property. That means we cannot meet you at the Processing Center itself to sign paperwork or collect payment. Instead, we handle that at our Bartow office, or we can meet you somewhere closer and easier for you, such as a diner or gas station near Winter Haven. Wherever you are most comfortable is fine with us.
What to bring, generally speaking: a valid photo ID for whoever is co-signing the bond, and a phone number where we can reach you. If you are not sure what else you need, call us and we will walk you through it before you head out.
